Who thought Robert Pattinson is invincible at the box office in terms of popularity and success, think again. Because there are at least two who beats Rob this week…
Look at the reports by Entertainment Weekly Hollywood Insider who has a record of box office collection for the latest releases as well as the currently showing films. Robert Pattinson’s latest movie to release on 12th March 2010 is “Remember Me” and it is estimated to be behind at least two films including Johnny Depp starring “Alice in Wonderland” and Matt Demon starrer R-rated adult drama “Green Zone”.
So, it seems to us that the audiences are in mood to visit the imaginary world more this week than they want the real world. Alice in Wonderland has already roped in over $116 million since its release on 5th March 2010. And it is expected to earn some more bucks this week too. Just as a prediction by the website of $52 million, may be!
Matt Demon is one of the biggest stars we have in the film industry at present whose Green Zone would open globally on 12th March 2010. The war movie inspired by the non-fiction 2006 book “Imperial Life in the Emerald City” by Rajiv Chandrasekaran might get a good response after the popularity of the recent Oscar winner “The Hurt Locker”, another war movie.
Coming to Robert Pattinson’s romantic drama “Remember Me” which is a medium budget movie by Summit Entertainment with an estimate of only $16 million is expected to earn around $10 million in spite of Rob’s massive popularity and the huge publicity of the film by RPattz’s fans.
It’s now to wait and watch which film tops the box office collection this weekend. Will romance triumph over war story and the fantasy flick? Or will Alice continue ruling at the top?
