Robert Pattinson has a long way to go…

Doubting Robert Pattinson’s stardom is the most foolish thing any one can do. In a recent poll it was revealed that he is more famous that the Queen of England and US President Barrack Obama. Even former Bond, Pierce Brosnan called Rob a female fan-magnet unlike any other. But aren’t his fans hurrying into putting him in the pedestal among the A-listers?

It’s true he is one of the most talked about actors post his Twilight movie and is always in the news for his link-ups with his various co-stars, and mainly whether he is dating Kristen Stewart or not. Robert made his debut in the Harry Potter series film as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He then continued with some television movies before becoming the sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight.

Twilight took him to the success that very few actors can even think of; he became a rage among his fans and the journey continued with the next instalment of Twilight, Twilight Saga: New Moon. The film only added more glamour and glitz to his career as he started appearing at various red carpets, events, award functions. Paparazzi, tabloids and fans cannot get enough of him. The 23 year old heartthrob’s demand was so high that Madame Tussauds even added a wax statue of his.

However, his two other movies Little Ashes and Remember Me could not live upto the hype of the star’s status. It failed to draw the audiences to the theatre and neither had it had positive reviews. So can we say that Robsession is only limited to Twilight and his spotlight will diminish once the Twilight series is over. So instead of hounding the actor let him find a foothold in the industry as an actor and not Edward Cullen. Let’s wait post the Twilight series success and see few more of his other movies before reaching to any conclusion. Let the guy continue his journey for a while before declaring him a superstar.
