Transformers 3 candidates : Tanit Phoenix, Ashley Greene, Amber Heard

Earlier today it was announced that Paramount or, more so director Michael Bay, had decided not to pick up Megan Bay's option on "Transformers 3". You can read all about it here - but in short, Fox was dropped because of some of the unsavory things she's said about the filmmaker. Whether or not those things are true or not, Fox did overdo it on her comments... even comparing Bay to 'Hitler', for fucks sake, at one point.

Paramount are already looking for a replacement, er, model.

Some of the leggy beauties that have already tested for the film are Gemma Arterton ("Clash of the Titans", "Prince of Persia") and Aussie model Miranda Kerr.

And I hear that Tanit Phoenix, an up-and-comer who has cushy roles in "Death Race 2" and "The Lost Boys 3", and was recently signed to star in a big-time British spy movie called "Vauxhall Crossed", is in with a shot too. Not sure whether Phoenix has tested yet, but the South African beauty's definitely high on Bay's wish-list.

Aint it Cool News has a few other names that have been either tested or will test over the coming weeks for the film : Emmanuelle Chriqui, who plays the hottie 'Sloane' on "Entourage"; Jessica Lowndes from "90210"; "Avatar" star Zoe Saldana; "Heroes"' Cheerleader Hayden Panetterrie; "Mandy Lane" sexpot Amber Heard; Camilla Belle from the "When A Stranger Calls" remake; Ashley Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the "Twilight" series; "High School Musical" and nudie-photo star Vanessa Hudgens, Julianne Hough (who?); and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (again, who?). In other words, Michael Bay is letting anyone who looks pretty in a swimsuit through the front door.
