Anna Kendrick's new movie '50/50' gets a Fall Release Date

Summit is adding "50/50" to its release schedule for 2011. The movie stars Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and focuses on a young man's struggles with cancer.

Formerly called "I'm With Cancer" and "Live with It," the film -- based on a true story -- will be released wide on September 30. Despite the heavy subject matter, it's been described as a bittersweet comedy.

Anna Kendrick, Bryce Dallas Howard and Anjelica Huston co-star. Jonathan Levine ("The Wackness") directs.

Summit acquired North American distribution rights in February 2010.
