Paul Darnell, Rob's stunt double, talks about working with him in RM, WFE and the Twilight Saga movies
You can read Paul's full interview at the source

How did you react when Robert Pattinson thanked you for his Twilight “Best Fight” MTV Movie Award? Can you share your experience in filming that scene?
First let me say that Robert Pattinson is an amazingly humble person and a very hard worker. He works very hard and shows up to every rehearsal. The last battle scene in Twilight was very intense. Many of the stunts involved hard hits with wires and crashes which are so much fun to do! Without risking personal injury to Rob, I ended up doing the majority of stunts in the final battle which won the award.
I was at a friend's house and I started getting text messages and phone calls from friends saying "I think Rob Pattinson just thanked you on national TV". I was really stoked and also a little confused by the "I think" part. Immediately I went online and found a video of Rob's speech where he gave me credit for the award but said the wrong last name. To his credit, someone had misspelled my name on a photo shoot for LA Magazine and my wrong last name was plastered all over the internet. None the less, I was so stoked that he would even think of me for a shot out. Actors rarely do that for stuntmen. Rob is a very considerate individual and true gentleman. When I saw him on the set of Remember Me he immediately apologized for the mishap.
How has the experience of being Robert Pattinson’s stunt double varied from Twilight to Remember Me to Water for Elephants for you?
It has been amazing to see Rob's fame grow and grow. His fan base is grown so much since the first Twilight and I am very happy for him. He also continues to stay the same humble guy each time I see him.
Can you share any of the experience of last summer’s filming of Water for Elephants?
A terrific book turned into an even greater film with 3 outstanding actors. The three, Reese, Rob and Christoph, worked together amazingly. Rob also did an amazing job learning and performing the fights and working with the animals. Rob has a scene feeding tigers, REAL tigers, that could eat you if they wanted. Rob played it cool and had no problems working with them at all. Probably better than I could.
What are you currently working on?
I'm lucky enough to be working again with Rob on Breaking Dawn which has even more action than any of the other Twilights. Can't say much other than it is going to be an amazing film!

Rpattz struggles after celebrating RM premiere
Looking more like a frazzled zombie than a hunky vampire, the Twilight star took no hesitation in celebrating his Remember Me premiere with family.Pattinson – also known by fans as R-Patz – drank the night away in the Ivy club with family and friends before being escorted out the back door.

Robert Pattinson looking a little worse for wear...and barely able to stand up as he is escorted out of the Ivy club
These snaps show the Brit star, who is currently dating Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart, had to be held up all the way to his taxi and if his body actions didn’t tell the story, his eyes certainly did.
It’s no surprise he had to be guided out as he could barely keep his eyes open – either that or they kept rolling around his head.

Pattinson being held up by security, R-Patz has clearly drunk too much
The normally coy star slumped himself into the taxi and from then it was clear the night was over.
We wonder what Kristen will say when she sees the snaps...

Robert Pattinson enjoys female attention at the London premiere of Remember Me
Guess what the teenage heartthrob Robert Pattinson is being denied these days. He has an obsession for isolation and privacy, but given the kind of profession he is currently in, he hardly gets to enjoy any private moments. However, as he set his foot on the London premiere of his new film’ Remember Me’, he was in no mood to complain and instead was seeing warming up to his fans who had waited as long as 32 hours to watch a glimpse of their favorite vampire.
The Daily Mail reports that the dashing actor looked handsome in casual wear and almost got mobbed by female fans who got berserk on seeing him.
Pattinson commented that his kind of hysteric fan frenzy is completely new to him, but he is enjoying it and also slowly getting used to it.
He signed autographs, shook hands and even posed for photographs with a few lucky fans.
Pattinson tasted success when he played the role of the sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the now famous’Twilight’.The movie went on to become huge hit and Pattinson worship became a rage among teenage girls and boys.
At London, he was accompanied by Remember Me co-star Emilie de Ravin. She wore a cute little black dress and Brian Atwood “Loca” studded heels. Other than these, she had the sexiest eye candy on her arm-the latest sensation in tinsel town-Robert Pattinson.

Fans wait for 32 hours to catch a glimpse of Rpattz at the London Premiere of RM
The world wide mania of Robert Pattinson was evident when he arrived at the Leicester Square premiere of his new film Remember Me. The fans screamed, pushed and shoved to get a look at this current heartthrob. The handsome actor wore confidence on his sleeve at the premiere and was accompanied by his Remember Me co star Emilie De Ravin who sizzled in a little lacy black dress.
Pattinson was all smiles when it came to signing autograph and posing for pictures. He revealed that he is slowly getting used to all the attention he is getting now-a-days, thanks to his role of a sexy vampire Edward Cullen in the film’ Twilight’.
Some fans were so eager to catch a glimpse of him that they had camped out since Tuesday.
The film shows Pattinson was a rebel who takes out his frustrations on his father after his brother commits suicide. Reportedly, the film has got some heavy duty love making scenes between Pattinson and De Ravin.
The 23 year old actor admitted that he prefers to avoid places that are crowded, but now since he has to, he is enjoying the attention which is being showered on him.
The premiere was star studded and celebrity guests included reality TV star Binaca Gascoigne, Dancing on Ice evictee Emily Attack, Australian actress Holly Valance, and model Olivia Inge.

UK premiere of Remember Me
Hordes of screaming fans descended on London's Leicester Square to catch a glimpse of Hollywood star Robert Pattinson. The British actor, who shot to fame in the Twilight films, took to the red carpet for the UK premiere of his new movie Remember Me.
After signing autographs and greeting fans, many of whom were chanting his name, he admitted he was still to get used to his popularity.
Pattinson said: "I never go to places where crowds congregate, so it's always a novelty. It's a completely separate aspect of my life. It's nice."
In the film, Pattinson plays Tyler, a young man living in New York in the wake of a family tragedy, who falls in love with kindred spirit Ally, played by Lost star Emilie de Ravin.
The actor credited the massive success of the vampire franchise for helping cast light on his film and on The Runaways, which stars Twilight actress Kristen Stewart.
"They're both little independent films. The idea that Twilight can help little independent films push through Alice In Wonderland and £100 million budgets is nice."
De Ravin praised her co-star, saying: "We were both completely passionate about this project and did everything we could to make it as good as we could. He's a really nice person and very talented."
She said promised the movie would "really touch people".
Film actor Thomas Sangster and The Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack were among the other celebrities on the red carpet.

REMEMBER ME / Robert Pattinson: International Reviews
Robert Pattinson’s REMEMBER ME: Canadian Reviews
Like in North America, Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me received mixed reviews overseas. The romantic drama had a disappointing opening in the United States, landing in fifth place on this past weekend’s domestic box office chart, with only $8 million. (Friday started out okay, but Saturday and Sunday business was very poor.) It fared even worse overseas in nine territories, grossing only $1.6 million at 530 screens in Australia, Brazil, Belgium, New Zealand, Sweden, Russia and a handful of other countries.
Perhaps if Pattinson had been showing up on US talk shows this week — instead of ten days ago — things might have been different for his film at least in North America, but the actor is currently filming Bel Ami in Europe.
On the other hand, when discussing box-office grosses it’s worth taking into account that Remember Me isn’t a "star vehicle" like most studio films. For one, Remember Me was made after Twilight opened to solid business, but before The Twilight Saga: New Moon became a surprise worldwide superblockbuster. Though pushed as a "major" release by Summit Entertainment, the $16 million production should be seen as an indie film that happens to star an up-and-coming young actor. If you look at it from that perspective, the film and its star acquitted themselves well.
Directed by Allen Coulter from a screenplay by Will Fetters, Remember Me also features Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan, Chris Cooper, Tate Ellington, and Lena Olin.
Note: We’ve found a few international reviews online, mostly from Brazil and English-speaking Australia and New Zealand. We’re looking for more.
"It’s this twist for which Remember Me will mostly be talked about, regardless of whether you think it’s a breathtaking addition or a cheap ploy. Before this blindside, however, there’s an angst-filled young love affair to enjoy, largely thanks to the strong on-screen chemistry between Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin … Without the pale complexion and red lipstick, it’s easier to see why teens swoon over Pattinson. As Tyler, he’s brooding, intelligent and sexy …" Francesca Rudkin in the New Zealand Herald.
"You have to give credit to a film which starts powerfully and grabs you by the eyeballs. That’s certainly the case here. A dramatic sequence with striking camera angles and lighting makes an instant impression and sets the mood for this gritty romance about two dysfunctional families. Aided by strong acting and an intelligent script, Remember Me is a cut above most romantic films." John Bale at The Blurb (Australia).
"There was no need to turn a romantic drama into a poster-movie for the carpe diem, or "seize the day," motto. There was no need to turn a romantic drama into a vehicle for moral lessons (including even a quote by Gandhi!). That’s too much!
"It wasn’t this time around that Pattinson became more than the fad of the moment. In one of the few instances when his dramatic abilities are called forth, he’s wiped off the screen by Pierce Brosnan, who devours the young Englishman the way he used to do to his enemies during his James Bond days. And let’s face it, Brosnan wasn’t even the best 007." Marcelo Forlani at Omelette.com (Brazil).
"In spite of the script, Pattinson reveals himself as an actor of subtlety now that he has assumed mortal form. It’s plain that there’s a mind powering all that angst. I just hope that he soon finds a better picture than this one. I was almost coming round to it but its gratuitously tacked-on ending put paid to that impulse." Sandra Hall in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Robert Pattinson 'Connected' To The Ending Of 'Remember Me': The MTV News Quote Of The Day
"When I first read the script, it seemed so much a part of it. As soon as I read it, I felt immediately connected to it. If it was edited down in any way, I don't think it would be the same thing. I always feel there's some kind of power to the script. I wanted to keep that in the movie." -"Remember Me" star Robert Pattinson, speaking to MTV News about the somewhat controversial and certainly surprising ending of his latest film (which opened on Friday, March 12). In the film, Pattinson's character brushes up against a significant historical event in a sequence that had to be handled with the utmost sensitivity — an attitude shared by all the participants in the movie.
"I had some concern about the portion of this film that is a bit of a surprise and I hoped that it would be handled tastefully — as tastefully as it could be," actor Chris Cooper, who plays the father of the woman Pattison's character falls for, told MTV News. "I must say after I saw it, I don't know how you could handle it anymore tastefully but still get the idea across of the loss. I think the strongest thing in the film is the idea of loss."
Director Allen Coulter concurred. "The fact is that, from the very beginning, this is a story about what we call 'the bolt from the blue' — the unexpected event that alters the trajectory of your life. We start with a very personal story, and as the story unfolds that very notion is enlarged upon and goes from the personal to the universal. We felt we were trying to humanize that kind of event."

Emilie de Ravin on working with Robert Pattinson
An awful lot of Twilight fans will be lining up to see vampire heartthrob Robert Pattinson in his new movie, Remember Me, opening this Friday. When co-star Emilie de Ravin signed on to play his love interest, however, she literally had no idea what she was getting herself into. "I didn't know him," she says bluntly, discussing the film from a Toronto hotel room recently. "I had no preconceived notion of who he was because I didn't know from his name."
So, totally unaware of the Twilight books and films phenomenon? "I suppose I was aware of it," she allows. "But I hadn't seen the films, and I didn't connect his name with that."
The 28-year-old Australian actress is currently shooting the sixth and final season of Lost, in which she plays Claire Littleton, one of the survivors of a downed airliner. (Maybe getting stranded on a Pacific island is the only way to avoid Twilight.) "It's bittersweet that it's ending," she says, but adds it will open up more time for film projects.
Remember Me seemed to fall in her lap. "The script was just sent my way," she said. "I knew nothing about it, knew no one involved, just read it and really I just couldn't put it down. I just immediately fell in love with it and the role of Ally. Such a great meaty role, something I felt I could really do something with."
Her character is living in Queens, New York, with her single father, a police officer played by Chris Cooper. As we learn in the opening scene, her mother was shot and killed in front of her by purse-snatchers on the subway in 1991. Ten years later, she meets Tyler Hawkins (Pattinson), who carries his own secret wound.
Filming on location in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens was a challenge, de Ravin says. Pattinson tends to draw crowds. "There was such a heightened excitement around all the sets," she says. "So even if you come in and are doing a very serious scene, everyone around is so excited and happy. So it's odd, if you're not doing a scene that requires that emotion, to be surrounded and enveloped by it."
De Ravin's erratic acting career began with parts on TV's BeastMaster and Roswell when she was still a teenager. Since then she has found work in such low-budget gems as 2005's Brick, and blockbuster fare like last year's Michael Mann film Public Enemies. ("For a minute," she says of her minor role.)
"I wouldn't say I was drawn to a certain genre or a certain kind of character," she notes. "I think it's mainly about just something that clicks when you read it, and something that's going to challenge me in a new and different way. I think it's very easy, especially nowadays, to get somewhat pigeonholed in playing the funny girl or the girl next door or the girl in the horror movies. So I strive not to let that happen."
In fact, de Ravin has twice appeared as "the girl in the horror movies," in Santa's Slay in 2005 and The Hills Have Eyes the following year. Her next project is a little different, however. She will provide the voice for an owl in the animated film Legend of the Guardians, directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen).
"I'm a 'tween owl," she says, unable to stop from laughing. "Half the fun was just trying out all these different voices. And you're also taped while you're doing it, so they can put your facial expressions ... into the animation, which just amazes me. Just to see how I look as a little fluffy owl. She's very cute."
Robert Pattinson has 5 bodyguards!
Robert Pattinson travels with five minders who guard him from fans.Bosses at production studio Summit hired the heavy mob during shooting of Rob's latest film 'Remember Me', which is slated to hit UK screens on April 2.
The Twilight hunk has been forced to travel with bodyguards after almost being pushed under the wheels of a car by frenzied female admirers in New York's Union Square.
"If it hadn't been for the quick-thinking of two members of his team, he could easily have been a goner," the Daily Star quoted an eyewitness as saying.
"He was pushed off the sidewalk by the sheer number of fans who were trying to get close to him and fell against the door of a moving vehicle.
"If his clothing had got caught or a foot had gone under the car there's no doubt he would have been dragged along and seriously hurt," the eyewitness added.

Matt Damon Bombs; Robert Pattinson Unharmed
No, Robert Pattinson's Remember Me didn't kill. But it didn't die. Unlike Matt Damon's Green Zone. On a crowded weekend at the multiplex, Damon's $100 million action-war movie produced a meager $14.5 million debut, per estimates. The smaller-scale Remember Me grossed a respectable $8.3 million, while She's Out of My League ($9.6 million) and Our Family Wedding ($7.6 million) likewise got relatively big bangs out of their little bucks.
Oh, and Tim Burton's and Johnny Depp's Alice in Wonderland made more money than all those four films combined: $62 million. More results:
• Green Zone was not expected to be Bourne big; it was expected to open bigger than, say, the The Crazies.
• On the bright side of defeat, Green Zone made about as much in three days as The Hurt Locker has made during its entire Oscar-winning run.
• To recap: Iraq War movies not a great investment idea. Still.
• The most optimistic estimates had Remember Me breaking $10 million (roughly the equivalent of a Monday afternoon for New Moon). Still, the romantic drama only cost $16 million, so even as is it's already half-way home.
• A statistic that will surprise absolutely no one who is or who has met a Twi-hard: Fully 84 percent of Remember Me's opening-weekend audience was female. And they liked, too—downer 9/11 setting or no. Overall, opening-weekend ticketbuyers graded the Pattinson movie a B.
• After two weekends, Alice in Wonderland has made $208.6 million, keeping it (for now) on the blockbuster pace set by Avatar. To stay with the James Cameron trailblazer, all Alice has to do is play 11 more Top 10 weekends. At least.
• No, Avatar didn't win Best Picture, but it retained bragging rights over every other film in Hollywood, grossing another $6.6 million, and upping its all-time domestic total to $730.3 million.
• Leonardo DiCaprio's Shutter Island ($8.1 million) broke $100 million.
• The Lightning Thief ($3.1 million) dropped out of the Top 10 after four tepid weekends and $82.3 million. The $95 million movie needed—and got—help from the rest of the world, with its worldwide take approaching $200 million, per Box Office Mojo.
Here's a complete rundown of the weekend's top-grossing films Friday-Sunday, per estimates compiled by Exhibitor Relations:
- Alice in Wonderland, $62 million
- The Green Zone, $14.5 million
- She's Out of My League, $9.6 million
- Remember Me, $8.3 million
- Shutter Island, $8.1 million
- Our Family Wedding, $7.6 million
- Avatar, $6.6 million
- Brooklyn's Finest, $4.3 million
- Cop Out, $4.2 million
- The Crazies, $3.7 million

Five Reasons Why Robert Pattinson's New Movie Will Hit—or Not
Remember Me will hit because... 1. It can't miss.
Nobody expects the film, a straight-ahead romantic drama trying to make a go of it in a genre dominated by Nicholas Sparks-spawned titles, to topple Alice in Wonderland, or even challenge Matt Damon's Green Zone for distant second at the weekend box office.
Given its lean budget—only $16 million—Remember Me doesn't have to do a lot to get fat: A debut in the neighborhood of $10 million would do it. Heck, even Leap Year, which nobody liked, and which didn't feature an abbreviatable star, opened with about that much.
2. Team Pattinson is on board.
Guess who's made the Twilight franchise a megafranchise? Young women, followed by formerly young women. Guess who's most into Remember Me? Young women, followed by formerly young women.
3. It's all about the all-new Eclipse trailer.
Sure you could watch it—and did—on your phone this morning, but Pattinson's hair and Taylor Lautner's abs look so much bigger on the big screen. Isn't that worth the price of admission alone?
Maybe. Or, then again, maybe not. Which brings us to the second part of our countdown:
Remember Me will bomb because...
4. One compound word: Bandslam.
Despite great reviews, a franchise-familiar face (High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens) and the supposed lure of the all-new New Moon trailer, this 2009 summer flick failed to open in the top 10. If it's true Pattinson's a far bigger name than Hudgens, then it's also true Bandslam's Rotten Tomatoes score was far higher than Remember Me's (at least as of late Thursday).
5. One stalled breakout vehicle: Me and Orson Welles.
Zac Efron might have graduated from HSM once and for all in this Richard Linklater drama, but he couldn't put bottoms in seats. The $25 million movie barely made $1 million domestically.
On the plus side for Pattinson, Efron did break out, even if his movie didn't. And if a Wildcat can do it, then surely so can a vampire...er, right?
