Kristen Stewart as Bella in EclipseKristen Stewart's disdain for the popular social networking site, Twitter, was quoted today on PerezHilton.com.
...People go, ‘I’m sitting next to Kristen Stewart right now’ and then they show up . . . It’s like you’re trampling on someone’s life without any regard. And it’s rampant. Everyone can do it now. Buy a camera and you’re paparazzi; get a Twitter account and you’re an informant.
She's definitely got strong opinions on the subject, but they aren't without merit. After filming an episode of Oprah, a traveler at Chicago's O'Hare snapped a picture of Kristen with Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson. Then he made the picture public on his Twitter account, sent it to Perez Hilton, and made a few notes about the couple and their airport activities. In less than three hours, the photo had been viewed over 12,000 times, and the tweets were quickly picked up by ever media outlet possible.
If you do a Google search of "Kristen Stewart Twitter sighting", you get loads of interesting responses like this one:
Spotted: Kristen stewart at #coachella! Black tshirt. - April 16th, 8:01PM
Not only do you know where she is, you even know what color t-shirt to look for.
Besides the sightings alerts, which are also found on sites like Gawker Stalker, rumors start on Twitter and spread like wild fire. For example, after Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, an MTV employee posted to her Twitter account:
The 2 most important moments tonight were sandra bullock confirming tht she's truly incredible & k-stew confirming tht she's truly a lesbian
Another MTV employee, Ruby Rose, also posted:
I'm sorry, but Kristen Stewart has to be a lesbian. I dont mean to stereotype but isnt it obvious?
She came back later to make sure readers were aware that she was kidding, but the damage had been done, as Perez Hilton posted the Tweets with his own comments:
Time to come out, bb! Embrace your lezlicious self! Maybe then you'll stop being so effing miserable all the time and will actually SMILE!
Truly, it's no wonder that Kristen isn't a fan of Twitter.
