Peter Facinelli Meet-And-Greet In Sheboygan

When Peter Facinelli signed up for the first “Twilight” film, there were modest expectations surrounding the project.

“The goal was to hopefully get a good enough response to do a second movie,” Facinelli said recently during an interview with The Sheboygan Press. “We wanted to make a great movie for the fans of these books. There’s an underground following, and if it did well, maybe we could do a second movie. I don’t think we knew it would become a cultural phenomenon.”

Three movies later, the “Twilight” saga has become one of the most successful movie franchises of all-time. Based on Stephanie Meyer’s No. 1 New York Times best-selling series about a Romeo & Juliet-style romance between a mortal and a vampire, the “Twilight” movies have shattered records for openings and midnight showings around the country.

Facinelli, 37, who stars as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, described as the “altruistic patriarch of the Cullen clan,” will be stopping in Sheboygan at Memorial Mall on Saturday for an autograph session and meet-and-greet with fans from noon to 5 p.m. Cost for autographs is $25, and $40 for photos, and both for $65. A portion of the proceeds from the signing will go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which raises funds for cancer awareness.
