Bill Condon talks Edward's backstory
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon graciously took the time to talk to us about what's on the mind of every Twilighter now that we're nearing the final weeks before the film. He's continued to remain tight-lipped about some details (which will make for a better moviegoing experience, of course) but he had much to say on the birth scene (his favorite), the highly anticipated wedding, as well as additional scenes from Edward's point of view! Warning: This interview contains spoilers.
Fandango: We get so much of Bella's and Jacob's view in the last book, but what specific parts do we get to see more of Edward's point of view?
Condon: There's something that we put in there that's referred to in an earlier book. We actually get to see Edward in his early life as a vampire and hear his thoughts about that. There's a glimpse of him in Twilight describing how he got turned, how he got changed by Carlisle, but this is more extensive. I do think we get more inside Edward and he changes a lot, too. The wedding has an effect on him. There's an aspect of self-loathing to him about what he did when he was a vampire [earlier] that he releases through Bella's love. I think that's a fun thing to watch.

Summit Entertainment is rolling out promotional cards for the movie Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.
Good thing it’s not the 1930s anymore. Otherwise, people might be coming with pitchforks and torches to meet Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), the vampire love interest of Bella in Twilight: Breaking Dawn.

Bill Condon talks BD: Edward & Jacob represent "rooting for the noble monster"
The undead men of True Blood, as well as vampire Edward Cullen and lovelorn werewolf Jacob Black in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight book series, have become key heroes in pop culture, especially to women. Bill Condon, director of the final two Twilight movies, Breaking Dawn, Part I (out Nov. 18) and Part II (Nov. 16, 2012), sees Cullen and Black as part of a long tradition of rooting for the noble monster, dating to the original Frankenstein film in 1931.
"We've always had a complicated relationship toward monsters. Don't you feel like in every Dracula movie, you're sort of wanting him to get away with it?" Condon says, laughing.

Next Movie: The 9 Sexiest Movie Couples Ever #3 "Edward & Bella"
3. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, ‘Twilight’
Like you didn’t see this pick coming. Pattinson and Stewart have crazy chemistry, but as Edward and Bella, they spend the first three movies unable to go all the way for fear of turning Bella into a blood sucker. Thankfully for them (and us), they give in to their desires in “Breaking Dawn.” Expect all hell to break loose, in a good way.

'Volvo' preparing for another 'Twilight' ad campaign for 'Breaking Dawn'
If you've been keeping up with the Volvo advertisement campaigns which have been associated with the Twilight Saga so far, you'll know that with both The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the company hosted huge contests to win similar cars as what "Edward" (Robert Pattinson) drove in each film. The first, for New Moon, was called the "What Drives Edward" campaign, and for Eclipse, fans got "Lost in Forks."
The first contest was an internet-based series of puzzles, the last portion of which - "Bella's" race through Volterra - was so difficult a solution for it was passed around on YouTube (see the video attachment). The second contest was more related to the concept of a car itself, with internet users navigating through a series of forks in various roads to find the "Cullen House." It, too, was difficult.
Now, it seems, Volvo is preparing for its next Twilight promotion with the upcoming release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1. Details are scarce at this time, but Direct Marketing News reported:
The automaker will launch a “global online event in November” for the release of Breaking Dawn, the fourth film in the Twilight series, said [an advertising representative]. He declined to provide more specific information about the initiative.
The "What Drives Edward" campaign opened on November 1st, 2009, roughly three weeks before New Moon's theatrical release, but the "Lost in Forks" campaign began on June 22nd, 2010, just a little over a week before Eclipse hit theaters.

Rob talks about saying goodbye to Edward Cullen, Breaking Dawn, Water for Elephants and more
So much for immortality. Vampire Edward Cullen is gone. The fanged teeth have been put into storage. The glittering makeup has hit the Hefty bag. Bring on the sunlight.By the time you’re reading this article, Robert Pattinson will have wrapped his final scene for “Breaking Dawn: Part 2.”
In a way, he’s breaking up with his ethereal BFF.
“It does feel like a breakup. I do love the guy — and I’m going to miss him,” Pattinson, 24, says during an interview with the Sun-Times on a cool Sunday afternoon from his hotel suite in Santa Monica, Calif. “I prefer to think of ending this franchise like leaving school. It’s the last day of high school.”
He mulls over the plusses of leaving behind his romantic alter ego.
“I’ll be very glad not to put those contacts in anymore or have to put on the sparkling makeup,” he says with a giggle.
The thing about Pattinson is, he likes to giggle. A lot. Then his voice softens.
“It’s been amazing to play the same character through so many adventures. And it’s so strange because my life has changed so much over these years, but ‘Twilight’ and Edward Cullen will always be a part of me. It’s been my whole life. My whole 20s,” he says. “And I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
He knows that there is no way he’s leaving this room without spilling some secrets about “Breaking Dawn,” a two-part finale debuting in November.
“I haven’t really seen any of the footage, so I’m not sure how any of it turned out. All I can tell you is, it felt right. It was from the heart.
“I’m as curious as any ‘Twilight’ fan,” he insists.

New Volvo for Edward Cullen in Breaking Dawn!
TwiFans.com got an exclusive scoop about Edward's Volvo for 'Breaking Dawn'. Check out their 'Squamish account' and more pics at TwiFans. Meanwhile, here's a quick glimpse.
Alison of TwiFans reports "We went to straight to the Volvo website and started comparing wheels, tail-lights, spoilers, and colors. After an hour (or two) of dissecting the vehicle from top to bottom we concluded with certainty that Edward's 'Breaking Dawn' Volvo is a S60 R-9 design series.
Now-it's again NOT SILVER, but in my opinion ,after custom building both a Silver Metallic S60 R9 Volvo and a Saville Grey Metallic S60 R9 Volvo, the later was better. Trust me the darker Volvo was damn sexy!"

Catherine Hardwicke talks about casting Rob as Edward
Like the late John Hughes, who discovered the teenage actors who became the Brat Pack, Hardwicke has created many of this generation’s tween idols. Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen), Emile Hirsch (Lords of Dogtown), Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner (Twilight) all got their big breaks in a Hardwicke film. She dishes about them like an older sister; how Hirsch was too lazy to do sit-ups and drew abs on his stomach with mascara or why Pattinson had to pluck his eyebrows. “They were a bit bushy,” she says. “We needed to see some eyes!”For Twilight, Hardwicke had trouble finding an actor otherworldly enough to play vampire Edward Cullen. Then she got a call about a guy in London. “I looked at a couple pictures and was like, ‘I’m not sure,’?” Hardwicke says. “He had been fired from his last job, he was unemployed, he was in debt.” Pattinson flew to Los Angeles on his own dime to read with Stewart. “I have footage of their first meeting at my dining-room table,” Hardwicke says. “Kristen was like, ‘It’s got to be Rob!’ She felt connected to him from the first moment. “That electricity, or love at first sight, or whatever it is.” Hardwicke gave him the part, but he had to make a promise. “You’ve got to realize that Kristen is 17 years old,” she told him. “She’s underage. You’ve got to focus, dude, or you’re going to be arrested. I made him swear on a stack of Bibles.”
When Hardwicke auditioned Evan Rachel Wood for Thirteen, she had her get into her bed with Nikki Reed. That’s also where Pattinson kissed Stewart for the first time in his Twilight screen test. “That bed made Pattinson who he is right now,” says Reed. Asked about her lair, Hardwicke laughs. “MTV came and did an episode in my house filming the bed. It’s legendary,” she says, flashing a wide—dare we say wolfish—grin.
