Kristen talks about ‘Flightless Bird, American Mouth’ and when she danced with Rob on Twilight

Dedicated Twilight fans might recognize the song that plays during the long-awaited wedding between Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) when they see Breaking Dawn this weekend (if they haven’t seen it already; the film made over $30 million in midnight screenings Thursday night). It’s a special ‘wedding version’ of the Iron & Wine song, ‘Flightless Bird, American Mouth’ that played during the prom scene in the first Twilight movie way back when in 2008.

“Before we even started shooting the first Twilight with [director] Catherine Hardwicke, I was rehearsing with Rob and we were sort of dancing around this room, trying to do this scene,” Stewart tells EW. “I put on Iron & Wine’s ‘Flightless Bird, American Mouth’ and I just became instantly emotional. Rob couldn’t handle it — it got weird! But I was like, ‘oooh, this is perfect.’”

Stewart says that they ended up playing the song for her on-set when they filmed the actual scene, and the rest is Twilight history. Listen for parts of the song to play during the long-awaited love scene too: “I think our composer played with it and you hear the melody throughout the film,” says Stewart.

Cutie Mackenzie Foy talks about working with Rob and Kristen "They're amazing, they're sweet"

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a half-vampire baby that's trying to kill you from within the womb.

Well, at least in Breaking Dawn. After Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's onscreen alter egos tie the knot and then knock boots, Mrs. Bella Cullen discovers she's got a freaky bun in her oven. And cutie Mackenzie Foye plays that vamp baby

So we had to ask her what she thought about having R.Pattz and K.Stew as parents...

"They're amazing, they're sweet," she gushed about the duo when we chatted with Mackenzie at the premiere this week. "It's really exciting to know them and really fun for them be my fake parents. I loved working with them."

Kristen talks what she learned from Rob "He really shines when he’s just funny"

It’s apt that she brings up Lautner’s media savvy. The three Twilight leads are a study in diversity – Lautner is the ultimate pro, Stewart awkward and uncomfortable, Englishman Pattinson somewhere in the middle.

“Actors have this really weird position – their jobs are wrapped up in their personal lives,” Stewart says. “Not just personal lives as in, ‘Who are you dating?’, but my life is my job, I love it.

“You can’t always be so candid. I definitely learnt from Rob, he really shines when he’s just funny. He’s so appealing in a general way – like I’ve see him on TV and I go, ‘Hmmph, you’re like really good on TV!’.
